Description
The ship left Amsterdam on 14 January 1642 and arrived in Batavia on 05-03-1643. It was a long voyage. Because of a storm she was forced to sail via Brazil. The ship reached Batavia with a crew of 114. Three people had died during the voyage.
Somewhere in 1651, the Haan was wrecked near the peninsula Kalpitiya, a few miles to the North of Negombo. Help was sent, and most of the goods were saved. The cannons, the ropes and most of the craftsman's tools were also taken from the wreck.

Description

The Haen was built in 1641 in Amsterdam for the Amsterdam Chamber of the Dutch East India Company (VOC). The type and measurements are unknown, but she allegedly carried 480 tons.
